Robert Alexander (b. Oct. 17, 1863, Md.-d. Aug. 26, 1941, Calif.), U.S. Army officer, received his commission as 2nd lieutenant in the 7th Infantry on December 17, 1889. He advanced through the ranks to brigadier general on Feb. 9, 1918, serving as Inspector General of the Line of Communications, A.E.F., in France, from November 1917 to February 1918, among other posts. Frank Long Winn (b. Oct. 4, 1864, Winchester, Ky.-d. Feb. 24, 1941), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1886 and saw action in the Sioux Indian campaign, in Cuba during the Spanish-American War, in the Philippine Insurrection, and during the Mexican Punitive Expedition.
